Juno-nominated Canadian-Nigerian R&B/soul artist and songwriter Zenesoul (pronounced ‘Zen-Soul’) has simply unveiled her brand-new EP known as “Nene”.
The artist faucets into her Nigerian upbringing, fusing her Soul melodies to create a novel Afrosoul sound. This comes after her Juno 2022 R&B/Soul Recording of the Yr recognition for ‘Love and Be Liked’.
Talking about her love of her Nigerian heritage and its affect on this challenge, Zenesoul acknowledged:
“This EP is my means of fusing my African roots and my North American upbringing. I’ve been engaged on this for some time and needed to ensure I used to be real with the sound.”
Talking in regards to the inspiration behind ‘Nene,’ Zenesoul provides:
“I really like writing and this challenge allowed me to problem myself and to see what I might create by combining my thought of soul and afrobeats into one. I’m enthusiastic about this sound and though I’ll at all times proceed to be an R&B artist it’s wonderful how I can increase on this means.”
