Meet Me @ The Altar have launched a model new single, the peppy, pop-punk-powered anthem Kool. The track is lifted from their forthcoming debut album Previous // Current // Future which is due out on March 10 through Fueled By Ramen.
Because the band clarify, the observe is a “love baby” devoted to the music that drives them, propelled by a bouncing, sprightly pop-punk riff and a glowing vocal melody.
In the meantime, vocalist Edith Victoria chimes out candy and simple lyrics that painting the easy innocence of younger pet love: ‘In my head / Laying on the sofa, you’re cooking me dinner / Low lights / Simply you and I / Obsessed / Tattoo in your face says you’re down for perpetually / So am I’. They then hypnotically repeat how their crush is ‘so cool’. Awww.
Kool arrives with an accompanying Sydney Ostrander-directed video which sees Edith leap round a poster-adorned bed room whereas admiring the heartthrobs plastered on the wall.
